Tree Planting on World Environment Day

Tree Planting on World Environment Day

World Environment Day is celebrated on 5 June every year, and is the United  Nations' principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of the environment. Planting a tree is a great way to celebrate World Environment Day. When people plant trees they are doing more than just beautifying a landscape. Trees are beneficial to the environment in countless ways. They help produce oxygen and filter out pollutants in the air, leaving fresh clean air to fill our lungs.

To lead by example, the distinguish members of Lexis Hotel Group’s top management decided to plant a few new trees within the resort's compound. And what better tree to represent the Malaysia Boleh spirit than the durian tree! The trees were also registered on the government's 100 Million Tree-Planting Campaign’s official app in support of our PM Muhyiddin’s noble effort to replenish earth’s green lungs. We’re pretty sure that all members of staff at the resort are definitely looking forward to the beginning of the fruit-bearing days of these durian trees.
